I admit it. I got spoiled in college when the blood donation center would set up every 3 months in our student center. I would donate every time they were there. It is work for me to go find a place to donate blood. I know a group comes to church occasionally, but I don't know ahead of time so I can come a little earlier and donate then. I need to seek out a donation center, but it's not foremost on my mind...
I donated last Friday, and I still have a HUGE bruise the size of a grapefruit wrapping around the middle of my arm to my elbow. I could barely move my arm this weekend, and it really does look like I've been beaten.
I'm still planning on donating again in March/April, but if I see that phlebotomist again, I'm running the other direction!
I'm a surgery intern and a newlywed which means that I am torn between the two worlds of learning everything I can about my new husband and learning everything I can about surgery and how to take care of patients. It is a fine balance.

Sigh. I wish I could, but I can't. I've always been kinda jealous of those who could, especially after I was closer than desired to being a recipient.
